Happy New Year!

December 26: It's that time of the year when all the shows are done and the New Year is approaching. Time to clean the stone, steam the rice, soak the steamer boxes and mallets, and start pounding. Our family tradition continues, going on 90 years!

It's mochi pounding time!.

3 man pound!.

Kay Hoke

December 19: Ilene & I are saddened by the news of Kay Hoke's recent passing. Kay was a friend and long time stamp dealer at all of our shows. He was also the treasurer of the Hawaii Philatelic Society for 40 years. Whenever we spotted a 1964 blue Mercedes sportscar, we knew it could be no one else than Kay, the original owner.

Kay Hoke was eager to talk to anyone about stamps.

Holiday Show Aftermath

November 21: The last Wiki Wiki Show of 2016 is now over. Thank you to everyone who helped make this show a success. After Saturday's all-day rain and today's(Monday) all-day rain, it was a blessing that Sunday was mostly sunny and clear.

Eagerly waiting to enter the show.
